Our Story
What is GRACE?
GRACE stands for the Global Repository for Ancient Cultural Endeavours. At its heart, GRACE is an initiative dedicated to preserving, documenting, and promoting the world’s ancient cultural heritage. It strives to ensure that the legacies of civilizations—through artifacts, traditions, philosophies, and knowledge systems—remain accessible and relevant to generations yet to come. GRACE is driven by a clear vision: to shape a world where the wisdom of ancient cultures educates, connects, and inspires all of humanity.

Our Mission
Our mission is rooted in the belief that cultural heritage is not simply about the past. It is about identity, continuity, and connection. By safeguarding ancient wisdom, we contribute to building a more resilient and conscious global society—one that understands its roots and learns from them.

The Genesis of GRACE
The inception of GRACE is chronicled in detail in GRACE: Timekeepers of Ancient Cultural Legacy. It was born from the Advocacy Unified Network (AUN), a global public policy and advocacy organization headquartered in The Hague. AUN sought to bridge politics and policy in transformative ways, placing deliberate, well-informed decision-making at the forefront of global progress.
GRACE emerged as AUN’s answer to an urgent question: how can we protect and elevate humanity’s shared cultural memory in a rapidly modernizing world? GRACE became AUN’s cultural conscience—one that reaches across geographies and generations to keep ancient legacies alive.

Why Santipur, West Bengal?
While GRACE was conceptualized globally, its roots took hold in Santipur, West Bengal, India—now home to its international headquarters. This was no arbitrary decision. West Bengal is a region steeped in history, rich with intellectual and cultural traditions.
Arindam Bhattacharya, Chairman of the Advocacy Unified Network and ideologue of GRACE, has personal and philosophical ties to the region. His vision extends beyond the material: it encompasses nurturing the spiritual and cultural currents that have long flowed through this land. By choosing Santipur, GRACE highlights the importance of lesser-recognized cultural epicentres and repositions them on the global cultural map.

The Genesis of GRACE
GRACE operates on a foundational belief: preserving ancient wisdom is not a luxury—it is a necessity. In a world increasingly dominated by rapid technological change and transient trends, GRACE serves as a counterbalance, advocating for the deep value of continuity, memory, and respect for what came before.
Our work goes beyond preserving physical artifacts. It is about making sure that the voices, philosophies, and identities of ancient communities are not lost in the din of modern life. We aim to bridge time—connecting the immediate experience of today with the enduring truths of the past.
We see cultural preservation as a vital pillar of human advancement. It’s not just about looking back. It’s about using the insight of the past to illuminate the path forward.
